National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali is an Autonomous College that was established in the year 1998. It is set up under the Aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertiliser as a centre of excellence for higher education, research, and development in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER Mohali is fully recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and was declared an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament. NIPER, Mohali is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. The institute offers an M.S. (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech (Pharm.), MBA (Pharm) and Ph.D. programs would also be started in various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences.

M.Tech Time frame: two years

First year course fee: INR 2.50 lakhs A B.Pharm, M.Sc., or B.Tech degree from an accredited university is required of candidates.

MBA Time frame: two years

First year course fee: INR 2.8 lakhs Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a cumulative GPA of 60%.Grade/Merit in NIPER JEE + Group Talk.

PhD Time frame: three years

First year course fee: INR 1.66 lakhs A valid MS (Pharm), M.Pharma, or M.Tech degree from an accredited university is required of candidates. NIPER JEE Merit/Score plus Personal Interview.
