National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) offers admission to the National Teacher Training Programme (NTT) every year. The NTT course is a one-year diploma program that is equivalent to a B.Ed The admission process for NIOS NTT usually starts in the month of May and the last date to apply is usually in the month of June.

To be eligible for admission to NIOS NTT candidates must have completed their graduation or post-graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation or post-graduation are also eligible to apply.

The selection of candidates for admission to NIOS NTT is done on the basis of their performance in the written entrance test conducted by NIOS.
