Campus of IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Abu Dhabi has welcomed its inaugural class of students to begin its academic career. The MTech program, which focuses on energy transition and sustainability, has 19 total registered students. 

On January 29, the program officially started, which was a big deal for the school. Currently, IIT Delhi's operations in Abu Dhabi are temporarily located on the campus of Zayed University, a sign of cooperation to support this academic endeavor in the area.

The candidate must have a 4-year B. Tech./B.E. possess an outstanding academic record, a degree in any engineering field, or an MSc or MCA in a computer science-related field. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an outstanding academic record, a 4-year B. Tech./B.E. degree in any engineering discipline, or an MSc./MCA degree in a computer science-related field.

PM Modi Engages with Students at IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the first set of students at the IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi Campus earlier on February 13. In his address to the students at the start of his two-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister Modi stressed that the creation of this campus not only represents a new phase in the cooperative relationship between the UAE and India, but also a means of bringing together the youth populations of both countries. 

The presidents of the two nations had planned for IIT Delhi to construct a campus in the United Arab Emirates in February 2022. The project, a joint effort between the Abu Dhabi Department of Education & Knowledge (ADEK) and IIT Delhi, intends to give students all over the world access to high-quality higher education options. 

IIT Delhi: Can parents stay there?

On the first day of your stay at IIT Delhi, you will be assigned to your different dormitories and given the option to select your own room. Your parents will have to arrange their own housing, though, if they intend to remain in Delhi after your orientation is over.

What does IIT's reserved category mean?

15% of seats are reserved for members of the Scheduled Caste (SC). Reservations for Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5% of seats are held. Other Underprivileged Groups (OBC) 27% of seats are reserved for the non-creamy layer (NCL). 10% of the seats are earmarked for the General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS).
