IIFT Delhi was established by the Government of India in 1963. Along with this, it is considered an autonomous institution. Which operates through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Due to some special things, IIFT Delhi has been given the status of Deemed University. After this, IIFT Delhi can expect to get the status of Institute of National Importance (INI).

IIFT Delhi is renowned for offering some of the most sought-after programs in the country such as the two-year MBA with a major in International Business. The overarching goal of the MBA (IB) program is to develop competent and skilled professionals for the global business environment. The program covers various aspects of international business, marketing, logistics, finance, strategy and economics. The MBA program enhances students' global capabilities by offering a range of electives and foreign language courses. Admission to MBA program is done through Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by Indian Institutes of Management.

Facilities in IIFT Delhi 

1. Auditorium: The institute has a state-of-the-art auditorium equipped with many facilities. Many cultural, social and educational activities are organized in this auditorium. This auditorium has a seating facility for at least 1000 people. The auditorium has a modern audio system and is well equipped with acoustics.
2. Classrooms: The institute also has modernly equipped classrooms. Projectors and air conditioners are also available in these classrooms. Each classroom has seating capacity for up to 70 students.
3. Library: There is also a library in Santan which has more than 10000 books. A collection of magazines, reports and databases can be seen in these. There is also a digital library in this library through which we can access any book online. The library has been provided with seating facility for 250 students. The library is open from 9 am to 12 noon and on weekends from 10 am to 8 pm.
4. Computer Lab: The institute has two computer labs with 120 computers each. The computer lab has high-speed internet connectivity and software applications like SPSS, SAS, Python, Matlab, etc. The computer lab is used to conduct online tests, workshops and courses. The computer labs are open from 9am to 12pm on weekdays and 10am to 8pm on weekends.
5. Hostel: The institute also provides accommodation facility for the students. This institute has accommodation facility for up to 400 students. The institute has provided all the facilities to the students in the hostel which every student should be provided. These facilities include en-suite toilet in every room and air conditioner and room heater available in the rooms. Mess facility is provided in the institute. In which students are provided food four times a day.
6. Sports Complex: Sports complex is also provided in the campus of the institute in which many sports are offered to the students. In this, many types of activities are conducted for the students after their studies, such as a badminton court, a volleyball court etc. are available. The sports complex organizes inter-college sports tournaments etc. Keeping health in mind, the sports complex has also provided the facility of yoga room and gymnasium for the students.
7. Health Centre: The institute also has a health center which provides medical facilities to the students from time to time. Camps are organized in the health center at fixed times. In this, the health of students and teachers is checked.
