The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the last date for admission to the National Teacher Training Programme (NTT) for the academic year 2023-24. The NTT program is a two-year course that leads to the award of a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) The course is designed to prepare in-service untrained teachers working in primary/upper primary schools in various states of the country. It is also open to fresh graduates who wish to pursue a career in teaching.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November 1989 as an autonomous organization in pursuance of the National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Government of India.
