VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) is a public university built in 1998 in Belgaum, Karnataka. VTU is one of India's vital  significant size technological universities. And it is Approved by AICTE & UGC both. Visvesvaraya Technological University has 182 affiliated colleges, 1 constituent college, and 25 autonomous colleges and many more. VTU has four regional centres spread across  surround by Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kalaburgai, and Mysuru. It was certified with different norms and regulation with Grade "B++" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). If we talk about in order to category it has hold ranked 52nd under the “Engineering” category, 95th under the “Management” category and 92nd in the “Overall” category by NIRF 2023. 

VTU has wide range of courses with  various specializationsuch as popular courses are B.Tech with 23 specializations, M.Tech with 57 specializations, and MBA. Admission to B.Tech programs is intend on  by the scores in KCET/ COMEDK/ JEE Main, although admission to M.Tech is intend on  the basis criteria  of merit in GATE/ PGCET. Excluding this, the university be in control of  a Research Entrance Test based on which admissions are granted to the Ph.D. applicants. 

As per the NIRF Report current year, VTU median package for M.Tech appeared aspirants is INR 5.40 LPA. For MBA, appread aspirants the median package is INR 4.50 LPA. VTU Admission current year 

VTU is a cross curricular institution that provide a wide range of different programmes such as engineering, technology, and management programs. Around 3 lakh engineering students attend the university's associated institutes, In this Institution conduct  and  study under 37 UG programs, 96 PG programs, and Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) research programs, management programme taught by 7 faculty members. The UG program offers degrees such as B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), B.Plan, and B.Arch, and admission is based criteria and get scores in JEE Main, KCET, and NATA.

M.Tech, M.Arch, MBA, MCA, and MCA (Lateral) are the courses offered in the PG program. Entrance test scores from national-level exams, including GATE, KMAT, NATA, PGCET, MAT, CAT, and others, are used for admission to all professional-based degrees. Ph.D. courses are also available, and students must have completed their master's degree in the associated topic with an aggregate of 55% from a recognized university to be admitted to these courses.

VTU Campus Life and Events

VTU Youth Fest, also known as cross functionalFest, is organized by the university. Students from all of VTU's affiliated colleges have the opportunity to participate in the various VTU Fest activities. In addition, VTU gives financial rewards to meritorious organizations and students. Moreover, VTU provide  single and shared room  accommodations for its students. The hostels are available for both boys and girls, and they are furnished with all the amenities needed. The following list includes some of the best amenities that VTU Campus has to offer:

Library: VTU has an updated library with a huge collection of approx 10,000 books and 43,000 journals on various subjects and important topics and a separate facility of a reading room with a seating capacity for 240 students.

Laboratory: The VTU has developed various laboratories with instruments including Spray, Pyrolysis, TG DTA, Dip Coating Unit, X-ray , Atomic  Microscope Spin Coating Unit, etc. 

Cafeteria: The VTU also consists of a cafeteria which is used for serving meals to the students and teaching and non-teaching staff as well. 

Sports: VTU has a spacious gallery for 500 observers with games including snooker, chess, tennis, badminton, cricket, volleyball, and basketball.
