Hindustani Oral music is the classical music of Northern India. Shankar Mahadevan Academy provides the unique occasion for scholars far and wide to learn Hindustani Oral music from the convenience of their own home through a largely structured class, a clear path for progression, and instruments for completion. Level instruments are given to scholars at each of seven situations Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha and Ni. Each position requires the pupil to complete the courses listed under it and pass the position test. scholars who are new to the Academy start with the first course in each of the situations, depending on previous experience. Entry into any position will bear new scholars to take and pass the assessment for the previous position.

Hindustani classical music is the foundation of any form of singing or necessary music in any language from the northern regions of the Indian key – Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Pashto, Nepali, and others, whether it's Classical, Film Songs, Bhajans, Ghazals or FolkSongs.However, there's simply no cover to methodically learning the basics of Sargam, Alankar, If you want to sing well. Hindustani classical music has a long tradition of being tutored and learnt face- to- face. These online assignments are our humble donation to help those who wish to learn this sublime, soulful music, but don't have access to a good schoolteacher locally from whom they can learn face- to- face. We've short videotape clips of assignments on how to Sing and how to play the Sitar, complete with memos and explanations. The assignments feature Shri Radheyshyam Gupta, a passionate and largely knowledgeable schoolteacher and pantomime with decades of experience. Radheyshyam was awarded the Order of Australia order in 2014 for his benefactions to propagating Hindustani classical music in Australia. We've assignments for newcomers as well as those who may have learnt away ahead, and they're for all periods. We're continuously also adding new assignments.

Description
A comprehensive step by step approach to Hindustani classical music. Beginning with the introductory Alankaras or paltas scholars will learn the basics of the Raagas like Bhoopali, Durga, Malkauns, Khamajetc. The course begins with the basics of Indian classical music system and voice training exercises called alankaras or Paltas. These will help the pupil gain Swar knowledge and help them to mould their voice to move painlessly in octaves. Once the pupil is confident with the basics, they can move on to the Raagas and explore colorful Raagas and their characteristics while being suitable to sing different compositions in each Raaga.
